Before one can fully realize the benefits of the higher teachings and transcend the superficiality of mundane existence and its illusions, a disciple must first concentrate on the ability to apply his training, discipline and the understanding of the basic principles which the foundation for future progress is built upon, while productively interacting and functioning in the present. He must be able to successfully make a conscious decision to accept the responsibilities which are a part of the process that empowers people to take control of their lives and he must clearly discern the different elements that are contained within all aspects of life in order to mindfully act in accordance with the complete reality of truth in everyday living. One of the basic and most important elements in the construction of the superior beings character is the ability to fulfill their “Heavenly” duties while squarely facing their “Earthly” responsibility. They must clearly realize the consequences of their decisions and firmly accept full accountability for all their actions. And yet, this quality of decisive strength, drawn from personal dignity and taught in the fundamentals of martial virtue, is most often overlooked and sometimes ,  even avoided. A boxer must reflect truth and courage in his exemplary behavior and  inspired attitude. He should demonstrate gratitude and compassion and instill the desire to serve others by motivating all that come into contact with him, to view life’s daily challenges and responsibilities as welcome opportunities to sharpen their skills, challenge their divine intelligence and as a chance to prove the strength of their convictions.
